AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

MV/LV Manufacturing Staff Engineer

TxLa Systems has a career opportunity available for a Staff Engineer who specializes in Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear/Switchboards. This is a full-time, on-site role in our Beaumont, TX facility.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

– Manage a team of junior engineers and designers responsible for the design of electrical equipment

– Plan, execute, and monitor projects ensuring alignment with quality, budget, and timeline expectations

– Coordinate with other departments within the company throughout the life cycle of projects to ensure equipment design is in line with customer requirements and shop capabilities

– Oversee equipment design for compliance to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality control processes

– Maintain, modify, and create engineering processes as necessary to improve design accuracy and efficiency

– Develop and implement training for onboarding of new employees and continuing education of existing team members

– Provide front end technical assistance to sales and estimating as necessary

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

– Minimum 10 years of experience in power distribution equipment design (management experience preferred)

– Developed time management skills to handle monitoring multiple, complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet time and budget constraints

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate with team members as well as other department team members and managers

– Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical and personnel challenges effectively

– Effective interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain relationships with engineering team members as well as other company personnel, clients, and suppliers

– Detail-oriented to be able to understand complex systems and make sure that all aspects comply with quality, safety, and contract requirements

– Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs
